Chart analysis

Make the observation rules explicit.

Explore how trading sessions, timeframes, indicator settings, and historical adjustments affect a chart comparison. These articles help separate visual similarity from a like-for-like measurement and repeated price transformations from independent evidence. Define the instruments and observation rule first. Then state what the comparison describes and what it does not establish.

Neither a matching pattern nor indicator agreement alone explains future prices or protocol safety. Use the session guide when two charts appear to share the same clock but may not share the same observations. Use the confirmation guide when several indicators seem to agree. In both cases, keep the raw settings alongside the interpretation. A useful result identifies the exact period, distinguishes completed bars from provisional values, and avoids choosing the most flattering start point after the outcome is already visible.
